  • Look Inside

A 19-year-old male presented with bilateral con-genital anomalies of the optic disc, congenital cata-ract in the right eye, retinal detachment in the left eye and transsphenoidal encephalocele. Ophthalmo-scopy showed morning glory syndrome in the right eye. In the left eye, we observed congenital anom-aly of the disc with flat retinal detachment inferior to the disc. Another retinal detachment was detect-ed superior to the disc 1 month later and disappear-ed after 3 weeks. The detachment inferior to the disc became undetectable 14 months after the first visit and recurred 3 months later to persist until now. We could not identify the causative relation-ship between the congenital disc anomalies and the retinal detachments.
