40年後に発症した交感性眼炎の1例

A case of sympathetic ophthalmitis developed 40 years after trauma

　右眼の外傷を契機として40年後に，左眼に虹彩毛様体炎，乳頭充血，漿液性網膜剥離が出現し，後に夕焼け状眼底を呈したことにより交感性眼炎と診断された50歳男性の症例について報告した。

　ステロイドの全身投与を中心とした治療により，遷延化は認められたものの，視機能は比較的良好に保たれた。

A 50-year-old male was diagnosed as sympa-thetic ophthalmitis on the basis of iridocyclitis, optic disk congestion and serous retinal detachment in the left eye, which were later followed by sunset glow fundus. The patient's disease was surmised due to trauma of the right eye 40 years ago. The patient was treated mainly with systemic steroid, which maintained the visual function relatively well, although the disease persisted.
