後部硝子体の虚脱剥離と単純剥離

Posterior vitreous detachment with and without vitreous collapse

　飛蚊症，光視症，あるいはその両者を唯一の主訴として受診した患者のうち，後部硝子体剥離（PVD）が認められた158名173眼の硝子体について検討し，以下の結果を得た。

　1．虚脱剥離の頻度は72％で，単純剥離の頻度は28％であった。

　2．単純剥離は虚脱剥離に比べ，部分硝子体剥離率が高い，後部硝子体膜は肥厚していない，乳頭前環を認める頻度が低いなどの特徴を有していた。馬蹄形裂孔の合併頻度に関しては，虚脱剥離眼と単純剥離眼との間に差を認めなかった。

　3．PVD眼で硝子体が虚脱しているか否かは，自覚症状の持続期間と関連があった。

We evaluated the vitreous in 173 eyes in 158patients who sought medical advice on account offloaters, flashing lights, or both.Posterior vitreousdetachment (PVD) was present in all the eyes. ThePVD was associated with collapse in 72% of theeyes and without collapse in 28%.Eyes withoutcollapse, or simple PVD, were characterized by asignificantly higher incidence of partial PVD, lesswell-demarcated posterior hyaloid membrane andsignificantly lower incidence of prepapillary ringthan PVD with collapsed vitreous. PVD with orwithout collapse was related to the duration ofsubjective symptoms including floaters and flashinglights.
