Abstract Purpose:COVID-19 vaccination was launched in February 2021;however, its adverse reactions are still unknown. Herein, we report a case of bilateral uveitis following COVID-19 vaccination.

Case:A 57-year-old man noticed floaters in both eyes and visual disturbance in his left eye 6 days post the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine(Pfizer). He was referred to us with the diagnosis of bilateral uveitis. Mutton fat keratic precipitates and inflammatory cells were observed in the anterior chamber with posterior synechiae in both eyes. Posterior eyes showed no remarkable change, including no posterior uveitis. The anterior chamber inflammatory cells disappeared after one week of steroid eye drops. However, three weeks later, he again noticed decreased vision in both eyes. Anterior chamber inflammation had not recurred;however, the optic nerve papillary swelling and macular edema were observed in both eyes. The optic nerve papillary swelling and macular edema disappeared after sub-Tenon steroid injection, and his visual acuity improved.

Conclusion:Although the accurate cause of uveitis could not be determined from the ocular findings and blood tests in this case, the uveitis could possible be related to the COVID-19 vaccination.
