裂孔原性網膜剥離の潜伏期を時系列事象として統計分析した.有水晶体,非外傷性で赤道部網膜裂隙に起因した網膜剥離を発病した成人76例について,前駆症状(飛蚊症,光視症)発現から網膜剥離症状(周辺部視野異常)発現までの間隔を観察した.潜伏期分布はワイブル確率紙で直線回帰され,発病率が単調に減少する初期不良型ワイブル分布を示した.前駆症状発現後,10日,30日までにそれぞれ50%,90%が網膜剥離を発病するとみなすことができた.
We estimated the latent period of retinal detachment after formation of retinal break through an analysis of 76 cases with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment due to tractional tear or tears in the equator. The latent period was defined as the time interval from the onset of predetachment symptoms such as floaters to that of detachment symptoms such as visual field defect.
The cumulative frequency of the latent period was found to fit well by an initial failure type of Weibull distribution. The features of the distribution function allowed the estimation of the probability of clinical retinal detachment in 50% of the cases within 10 days and in 90% within 30 days following the formation of tractional retinal tear in the equator.If the retina remains attached for 2 months or more, the risk of future retinal detachment would be negligibly low from the statistical point of view.
