人工水晶体移植術後のPseudomonas cepaciaによる眼内炎

Pseudomonas cepacia endophthalmitis following intraocular lens implantation

　80歳，男性，計画的水晶体嚢外摘出後Shearing posterior chamber lensを挿入し術後化膿性眼内炎をおこし，硝子体からP．cepaciaが分離された症例を報告した。本菌の対策についても述べた。

Endophthalmitis developed in a 80-year-old man after cataract surgery with a Shearing posterior chamber lens implantation. The therapeutic proce-dures included removal of the pseudophakos, vitrectomy, and intensive systemic, intraocular, subconjunctival and topical antibiotic therapy. Cultures of the vitrectomy aspirate demonstrated pseudomonas cepacia. Eventually, the eye required enucleation.
