眼科手術患者のHBs抗原陽性頻度について

Incidence of HBs antigen positivity in ophthalmological cases

　獨協医大病院開院以来，眼科において手術を受けた患者575名のHBs抗原を調べ0.7％の陽性率を得た。同結果を年齢別，性別に検討し，他の診療科とも比較した。

　HBウイルスは血液，その他に存在するので医療施設を感染源にせぬよう，また診療スタツフ自身も感染を受けぬよう注意が必要である。

Recently, a high incidence of hepatitis induced by HB virus among medical personnels has been noted. The presence of HBsAg has been proved in almost all of the body secretions, feces, urine, semen, vaginal fluid, bile, ascitic fluid, pleural fluid, saliva, nasal washing and sweat, as well as in the blood. It was also detected in human tears just recently.

In this investigation, we detected HBsAg positive patients who had been operated in our Department from August 1974 through December 1978. Among 575 patients, 4 were positive. One of them was female and the others were males. They were all older than 60 years.
