緒言

　FarnsworthのTritan plateは元来第3色覚異常の検出を目的として作られたが，1968年英国Edinburghで行なわれたSociety of ScottishSymposium of colourの席上，　Taylorら^1）は，この表が先天性第1，第2色覚異常に対し検出表として非常に有効であり，石原表，東京医大表，H．R．R．表などと同じ97％前後の検出率があると発表している。

　今回われわれは，Tritan plateを用いて第1，第2色覚異常の検出についてその追試を行ない，さらにNagel式Anomaloskop I型，石原表，大熊表，東京医大表，Panel D−15，色彩弁別検査器，市川—Lantern等の臨床成績と比較検討したので，その成績について報告する次第である。

The Farnsworth's Tritan Plate was clinically evaluated with 38 colour-defective males as test subjects.

The detection rate for protans and deutans with the Plate was 100% and 67.8% each re-sulting in the overall detection rate of 76.3%. Only the green square could be identified by the protan subjects who were diagnosed as such by means of anomaloscope, Ishihara's pla-tes, Okuma's plates, TMC plates, 100 Hue test, Panel D-15 and Ichikawa,s Lantern test, Some of the deutan subjects, on the other hand, were able to identify the green and blue squares indepen-dent of the severity of the colour defectiveness.
