先天性眼窩奇形腫の1例

A Case of Congenital Teratoma or the Orbit

緒　言

　先天性眼窩奇形腫は生下時より著明な片眼の眼球突出を主徴としてその成長は速く，早期手術を必要とする稀な疾患である。Streiffら^1）によると1863年にHolmesが報告して以来文献的に54例が記録されている。性別では女性（25例）が男性（12例）よりも多く，17例に性別の記載がないとしている。また左右差では左眼窩（26例），右眼窩（22例）となつており6例は左右が不明であるという。

　わが国では現在までに水尾，桶渡^2）（男性，左眼窩），河内^3）（性別不明，左眼窩），越智^4）（男性，左眼窩），中山^5）（女性，右眼窩），松田，杉本^6）（女性，左眼窩），谷，角田^7）（女性，右眼窩），田坂，桐村^8）（女性，左眼窩），日谷^9）（男性，右眼窩），福味，兼子，河瀬^10）（女性，右眼窩）等の報告がある。

A 1-day-old girl was transferred to the De-partment of Ophthalmology of Nagoya Univer-sity Hospital because of extraordinarily marked proptosis of the right eye, which was present at birth. The right eye was prominently displaced forward. The lids were thin and tightly stret-ched, so that corneal erosion resulted due to lagophthalmos. An X-ray examination of theskull showed a marked expansion of bony orbit.

The first operation aborted due to the poor general conditions.
