A year-old-man developed unilateral pulsating exophthalmus, glaucoma and a decrease in visual acuity. Exophthalmus : R.E. 25 mm, L.E. 12.5 mm. Ocular tension (scale reading) with Schioetz tonometer : R. E. 1.5/5.5g, L. E. 6.25/5.5g, vision ; R. E. 0.04, L.E. 1.2. Ih the right eye facility of outflow-0.30 or 0.17 and rate of flow-6.08 or 2.34. After the liga-tion of the carotis interna dextra, ocular tension decreased to 5.0/5.5g, vision improved to 1.0 and the facility of outflow (0.20) remained approximately the same but the rate of flow decreased to (0.44). The Exophthalmus decreased but diplopia remained.
