中心暗点の発生機序について（第1報）

On the developmental mechanisms of the central scotomas (The 1st report)

緒言

　視束交叉部附近の障害に於ける視野変状には，半盲症が多いが，該部の腫瘍に際し急性球後視束炎症状，即ち盲中心暗点を初発症状とする症例のある事は，吾国に於ても田村の報告以来注意されている所である。一般には発病の初期に見られるが，又経過の途中に於ても盲中心暗点が存在する事が知られている。

　此の盲中心暗点は視路の何処かで，乳頭黄斑線維（M．P．f．）が選択的に障害をうけた時に発現するものであるが，発生した暗点の性状は，視路特に視束交叉部附近に於ける神経線維の走向の複雑性と相俟つて多種多様である。

In brain tumor situated in the hypophyseal region the cecocentral scotoma is sometimes observed. It is a common opinion that the cecocentral scotoma is produced by the direct pressure of tumors against the paillo-macular bundle in the chiasm.

The authors reported 5 cases of brain tumors in the prechiasmal region (pituitary adenoma 2, meningioma 2 and craniopharyngioma 1), in which the cecocentral scotoma was observed. The scotomas in these cases were very irregular in their onset, course and mode of development.
