A new operationmethod of Exenteratio bulbi

緒言

　従来行われて来た角膜切除法を以て始まる眼球内容除去手術は，角膜を輪部で完全に除去する為に，術後の眼球萎縮並びに陥凹が著しく，義眼装用後も容貌を損うこと多大であつた。依つて著者は手術後眼球の大きさを出来るだけ正常時と大体同程度に保てる如く試み，而も薄い義眼を用いて，外貌も良く，眼球運動の際にも割合に義眼が良く動く方法を考案したので諸氏の追試を願いたいと思う。

I considered a new operationsmethod of Exenteratio bulbi, that is after the 1/4 cutting of the all length of sklera and conjunctiva bulbi far from the limbus of cornea about 10 mm, made the exenteration of the bulbus, putted in the plastik-ball of 16~20mm of the diameter, and used a thin eye prothese. And then I could succeed to get the nice appearance and good eye-prothese's movement.
