結膜炎罹患の記憶に関する統計的研究—Trachomaの急性発病説に関連して

Statistic study on the remembrance of conjunctivitis related to:an acute onset of trachoma

　Trachomaが急性に発病するか慢性に発病するかと云う事に関しては尚多く論ぜられているが，三井^1）はTr．患者にその発病の前に「はやりめ」をしたことの有無を尋ねると大抵その経験がありその時が恐らく急性Tr．の時期だつたのではなかろうかと云い，鈴木^2）3）等の慢性発病説を唱える人はTr．に罹患している子供の母親に尋ねて見てもTr．の初めに急性結膜炎があつたと云う様な事は殆んど無く母親は子供の病気に対しては非常によく注意しているので間違はないと云つている。私はこうした患者の記憶によつてTr．が急性発病するか慢性発病するかと云う事を論ずる事が科学的にどれ位意義があるか一応検討して見るためにこの統計をとつて見た。

It is well known that there is still some gap in opinion concerning to the onset of tracho-ma. Some authors discussed the onset of trachoma bassing upon the remembrance of patie-nts. I intended to determine the scientific reliability of such statistic study based upon the remembrance of patients.

Questionaires were forwarded to 360 previous patients who have visited our clinic for the treatment of conjunctivitis or trachoma and 227 replies were obtained. If the patient was under 10 years old, the reply. was asked of his mother.
