  • Look Inside

A 18-year-old male developed peripheral uveitis in the right eye showing grayish white exudates in the peripheral retina associated with periphle-bitis. Systemic administration of betamethasone (3 mg/day) was ineffective and the right eye was lost due to retinal detachment. Two years later, identical symptoms developed in the left eye. The inflammation could be controlled by systemic betamethasone (8 mg/day) and by subconjunctival dexamethasone. The difference in the administered dosis of corticosteroid see-med to have resulted in different outcomes at these two episodes.
