単純ヘルペス性角膜炎の臨床的観察—その2重症例について

Clinical Features of Herpes Simplex Keratitis:Report II. Cases with Unfavorable Consequences

緒言

　前報^1）において単純ヘルペス性角膜炎HerpesSimplex Keratitis （HSKと略）の経験例100眼における年齢分布，季節的変動，併発症，再発性や角膜の病像について統計的観察をなし，その結果をまとめ総括的に記載した。

　これらの症例の中には片眼性であるが，角膜白斑，Descemetocele，前房蓄膿性深部角膜炎，穿孔等の重篤な角膜病変を示したものが8眼あつた。本報においてはこれらの重篤な所見を示した個々の症例の臨床所見とその経過について記載し，これらの問題点について述べる。

Eight cases with severe consequences of her-pes simplex keratitis are described. The cases belong to our consecutive series of 100 instances of herpes simplex keratitis.

The present cases consisted of 2 eyes with dense opacity of the corneal stroma, 4 eyes with deep ulcer of which 3 developed desceme-tocele, one eye with deep keratitis with hypopyon and another with corneal staphyloma followed by perforation.

While all cases apparently started as dendri-tic keratitis and topical IDU had been used, the topical instillation of corticosteroids at rou-tine concentration could been proven in 6 inst-ances.
