57歳の女性に見られた眼窩横紋筋肉腫

Orbital Rhabdomyosarcoma in a 57-year-old Woman

I．緒言

　眼窩に発生する横紋筋肉腫については，最近，海外ではかなり多数の報告^1）〜5）が見られ，小児における眼窩腫瘍の中では最も頻度の高い原発性悪性腫瘍として注目されている。一方，わが国においては，なお，ごく稀な疾患とされ，その報告もわれわれの調べたかぎりでは7例^6）〜12）にすぎない。

　今度われわれは，57歳という比較的高齢の婦人に見られた眼窩横紋筋肉腫の1例を経験したので報告する。

Occurrence of orbital rhabdomyosarcoma in a female of advanced age of 57 years is reported.

Protrusion of the right eye developed with accompanying ocular pain. One month after the onset, biopsy of the orbital content was con-ducted to reveal embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma after classification of Porterfield and Zimmer-man. Radiation with Co⁶⁰ was resorted to be-cause of the widespread tumor mass involving the orbital walls as evinced by X-ray studies. The patient died of generalized metastasis nine months after the initial onset.
