Ophthalmological Application of Plastic Bandage Material "Nobecutane"

I．緒言

　プラスチック繃帯剤ノベクタン（Nobecutane吉富）は外科，整形外科，皮膚科などで，かなり利用されているが，眼科領域における応用は，まだ報告をみないようである。

　著者は過去約3年間本剤を，主として眼瞼の手術に利用し，無眼帯両眼同時手術，片眼失明者の他眼無眼帯外来手術による入院の省略，通院期間の短縮，時間的経済的負担の軽減を計るなど利点を確認したので報告する。

Plastic bandage material "Nobecutane" was applied to eyelid surgery. Nobecutane is used in liquid form and, after it is spread over the skin wound, rapidly solidifies to form thin coating. Dressing with Nobecutane was applied to various operations of the eyelid including those for trichiasis, palpebral entropion, ciliary entropion, traumatic symblepharon, skin sutu-re after dacrycysto-ethomoidostomy or remo-val of chalation double fold formation in the upper lid among others.

As the use of Nobecutane eliminates necessi-ty to cover the eye by usual gauze bandage, bi-nocular lid operation can be performed during one sitting.
