I．研究の目的

　I^1）において著者の1人は顕微鏡検鏡時の種々の条件下における眼調節ディオプタを測定し，いくつかの結論を得た。しかし，この測定値は，顕微鏡を覗き始めた初期における安定値を求めたもので，長時間検鏡した場合に調節値がいかになつていくかを求めたものではなかつた。

　一方顕微鏡を長時間連続使用する医学者・臨床検査技師，工場作業者等の中には，検鏡中，強い近視状態に移行することが，しばしばあり，これが疲労や近視の原因になるという説がある^2）。

The time lapse of degree of accommodation induced by observation through the microscope was studied in a few test subjects. The diop-ter values were monitored by means of elec-tronic comparator fixed to the microscope and a voltometer. The data were recorded elec-trically by an automatic recorder.

In all cases studied a consistent finding was confirmed that the diopter values of induced myopia remained stationary and did not shift gradually towards stronger minus side, in con-tradiction to previous reports which report on such a phenomenon following a sustained observation through the_microscope.
