顕微鏡による眼調節（器械近視）—I：種々の条件下における眼調節

I．研究の目的

　望遠鏡その他を覗いたときにいわゆる器械近視なる現象がおこることは古くよりいわれている^1）が，顕微鏡の場合にも，それ固有の器械近視すなわち眼調節が発生することが考えられる。著者は次のごとき理由によりこの量を知る必要が生じたので，主として実験的にこれを求めることとした。

　a）対物レンズが変倍式（レボルバ式変倍，ズーム式連続変倍など）の顕微鏡にあつては接眼レンズはそれ自体が焦点調節可能の必要があり，検鏡者は自分の眼の屈折および調節の度数に合わせて接眼レンズの視度調節を行なわねばならない。これを行なわないと倍率を変換した場合，同焦点がくずれ像がぼけてしまう（Fig．1）。連続変倍の場合特に著しい像ぼけを感じる。この場合，視度調節の範囲，すなわち接眼レンズ移動量およびその範囲は使用者の屈折および調節の度数を推計したデータを基に決定すべきである。

A quantitative determination of instrumental-myopia induced by looking into microscope was conducted on 100 emmetropic persons be-tween 20 to 40 years of age. As shown in Table 1, the induced instrument myopia ave-raged -2.5 diopters in younger age groups around 20 and -1.4 diopters in older groups around 40. The induced myopia was signifi-cantly greater when focusing adjustment was conducted from the minus side than from the plus side of the instrument. Above difference as well as scattering of accommodative values decreased when looking into the microscope binocularly than when monocularly.
