弱視，斜視の診療器械の現況

The present status of orthoptic equipments

　日本弱視斜視研究会は，その事業の一つとして，現在本邦の診療部門における，弱視及び斜視の診療に使用されている器械の普及度と，各器械の改善を要する点についての意見をまとめるべく調査を行つてみた。

　アンケートは，大学病院，公立病院，開業医併せて23ケ所に発送し，その回答率は次の如くである。

The author attempted a survey over the orthoptic instruments currently in use in ophthalmological clinics throughout Japan. Synoptophore was the most prevalently used apparatus and was used in 77% of the clinics investigated. Cheiroscope ranked next at the rate of 40%. For pleoptic purposes euthysco-pe, coordinator, localisator and corrector were generally used.

In more-than half of the instances Japanese made products were in use in preference to the oversea ones. There was much to be desired in the quality of individual instrumen-ts to ensure easier maneuvering and solidity.
