Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of fungal endophthalmitis with choroidal neovascularization(CNV)treated by intravitreal ranibizumab. Case:A 55-year-old female presented with blurring in the right eye. She had received surgery for ulcerative colitis 5 months before followed by hyperalimentation through central venous catheter. She developed infection by Candida albicans and was receiving antifungal drugs. Findings:Corrected visual acuity was 0.8 right and 1.2 left. Both eyes showed yellowish white patches in the retina. The right eye showed CNV with retinal detachment. The right eye received intravitreal injection of ranibizumab. CNV and retinal detachment subsided one month later with visual acuity improving to 1.2. There has been no recurrence for one year until present. Conclusion:Intravitreal ranibizumab was effective for CNV secondary to fungal endophthalmitis.
