Nine-year review of retinopathy of prematurity

要約　目的：未熟児網膜症の発症と治療予後に影響する因子の報告。症例と方法：2006年までの約9年間に診療した未熟児952例を対象とした。体重が2,500g未満で在胎期間が35週未満の新生児を未熟児と定義した。結果：未熟児網膜症は952例中209例（22.0％）に，出生体重が1,000g未満の119例中106例（89.1％）に，1,500g未満の357例中192例（53.8％）に発症した。発症因子は出生時体重（p＜0.001）と在胎週数（p＜0.001）であった。治療因子は在胎週数（p＝0.002），出生時体重（p＝0.003），輸血回数（p＝0.0436）であった。結論：未熟児網膜症には在胎週数と出生時体重が発症に関与し，これに加え輸血回数が治療予後に影響する。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report factors associated with occurrence and therapeutic outcome of retinopathy of prematurity（ROP）. Cases and Method：This retrospective study was made on 952 immature babies who were seen during 9 years through 2006. Babies were defined as immature when the birthweight was less than 2,500 g and gestation was less than 35 weeks. Results：ROP developed in 209 out of 952 cases（22.0％）in the series. It developed in 106 out of 119 cases（89.1％）with birthweight of less than 1,000 g and in 192 out of 357 cases（53.8％）with birthweight of less than 1,500 g. Birthweight（p＜0.001）and gestational age（p＜0.001）were chief factors for occurrence of ROP. Gestational age（p＝0.002）,birthweight（p＜0.003）,and frequency of blood transfusion（p＝0.0436）were chief factors needing treatment for ROP. Conclusion：Gestational age and birthweight were major factors for occurrence of ROP. Blood transfusion was another factor related to need of treatment.
