Osteoporotic vertebral body fractures are known to be the main factor that decreases activities of daily living. When we attempted to identify factors that affect the prognosis of osteoporotic vertebral body fractures, the interval between the onset of symptoms of the diseases and the starts of rehabilitation and the patient's score on the Hasegawa-scale were found to be the factors related to improvement in activities of daily living. The results suggested that functional evaluation and some prognostic prediction would be possible by doing early rehabilitation. Moreover, we could select the treatment method and early hospital discharge life for the changing hospital, and nursing.
