　小児股関節疾患のうち，重症ペルテス病，大腿骨頭すべり症後や大腿骨頚部骨折後の大腿骨頭壊死などの変形を遺残しうる思春期大腿骨壊死性疾患に対する大腿骨頭回転骨切り術を，術前CTデータから作成した造型モデルを用いてシミュレーションした．すなわち，寛骨臼との良好な適合性を保ちつつ，壊死を免れた荷重に耐える骨頭部分を荷重部に移動する最適な方向と角度を術前に求め，手術施行の支援とした．対象とした7股中5股において骨頭後方回転骨切り術のほうが前方回転骨切り術よりも良好な臼蓋-健常骨頭適合性が得られることが判明した．
