We conducted MIS-THA on 229 joints, classfied them into 2 groups by recovery of gait ability (group A:within 3 days, 151 joints, group B:4 days over, 78 joints). We defined factors in early ADL recovery, i. e., hip abductor muscle strength and pain management (POD3), ROM of hip flex-ext (from preoperation to POM3), JOA score (from preoperation to POM3), one-side disease, MIS-THA (MIS anterolateral approach, 2-incision approach) (p<0.05). Preoperative patient education and postoperative rehabilitation appear to enable early ADL recovery.
