Newly Designed Volar Locking Plate for Distal Radius Fractures

　抄録：Colles型骨折に対応する新しい掌側プレートを開発し，臨床に使用したので短期成績を報告する．DRV locking plateはチタン製で，十分な強度がある．プレート遠位部はロッキング機構の穴が6個あり，2mm locking pin，2.7mm locking screw，2.7mm screwの3種類が使用できる．術後の外固定は不要である．対象症例は術後2カ月以上経過した10例，男性2例，女性8例，平均年齢55歳であった．結果：術後平均3.2カ月で斎藤評価は優8例，良2例であり，関節可動域は術後早期に回復していた．

　A new fixed-angle volar plate for a dorsally displaced distal radius fracture was designed. This article reports preliminary results of our new volar plate. DRV locking plate has 6 distal holes with threads that can accept 2.0mm locking pins, 2.7mm locking screws, or 2.7mm non-locking screws. We treated a consecutive series of 10 unstable distal radius fractures with the plate. Average age at the time of injury was 55 years. After an average follow-up period of 3.2months the fractures had healed with highly satisfactory functional results. According to the Saito scale, 8 fractures were excellent and 2 were good.
