(3) Clonazepam was effective in all 4 cases ofthe photogenic epilepsy which shows the photo-sensitivity in the EEG. With the exception of 1case, the sensitivity in the EEG also disappearedresponding to clonazepam.

(4) The Jacksonian type of the partial motorseizure disappeared in 2 cases after the adminis-tration with clonazepam.

(5) The effects of clonazepam on EEG were ex-amined in 24 patients The abnormality of thebasic activity, the diffuse epileptic discharge andthe focal epileptic discharge were improved in29. 2%, 61.5% and 66. 7%, respectively. In addition, the rate of the clinical effectiveness was high inthe cases with the centrencephalic discharge.

(6) Side effects were observed to have appearedin 38.9% of the patients. They were mostlydrowsiness and ataxia.
