  • Look Inside

Three cases of late traumatic apoplexy which was described in 1891 by Bollinger, were reported. All of 3 cases were young men, whose ages were 9, 10 and 27 year-old respectively. After head in-jury, they did not complain of any symptoms, ex-cepting unconsciousness for a few minutes. But they suddenly suffered from severe headache, cons-ciousness disturbance and motor paresis, following a certain asymptomatic period between 6 and 18 days. All cases were diagnosed as intracerebral hematoma, corresponded to coup or contrecoup region, by cerebral angiograms. They were oper-ated on intracranial surgery with good results. Pathogenesis of the late traumatic apoplexy was discussed.
