  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

10 cases having abnormal angiographical findings which showed the stenosis or occlusion on the C1-C4 portion of the internal carotid artery with net-work or "fibrille" like fine abnormal vessels in cere-brum upper C1 portion, and with poor or nonfilling of the anterior and middle cerebral arteries especially middle cerebral artery, were reported.

Recently, some authors in Japan have found such several cases individually, but on the foreign papers only one Japanease american female case has been reported by W. Weidner.

We think such cases can much be found in young decade, especially female Japanease source.

Many Japanease authors said such angiographical findings are one of the congenital vessel anomalies. However, we think that, at first the occlusion or stenosis on C1-C4 portion of internal carotid artery is happend, by the various inflamatory mechanisms or general systemic vascular changes, etc, secondly abnormal network or "fibrille" like vessels in cere-brum upper C1 portion of internal carotid artery in-crease as the collateral vessels as like as the new vessels at the eye ground of Takayasu's disease, which there may be the auto-immunedisease.
