Blood viscosity and oxgen dissociation activity in patients with angina pectoris, myocardial infarction and healty subjects were studied. Blood viscosity at low shear rate increased with aging in angina pectoris patients (AP group) and myocardial infarction patients (MI group), but decreased with aging in healty subjects (N group). Oxgen dissociation activ-ity tended to decrease with aging in AP and MI groups, whereas it tended to decrease with aging in N group. There was negative correlations be-tween blood viscosity and oxgen dissociation activity in all groups. However, it was the strongest in AP group (p<0.002). Interestingly, there were three cases of middle aged who prominently conducted the regulatory system in acute phase of myocardial infarction, another three cases with high aged who unoperated this system in late phase of myocardial infarction.
