　A 70s female was referred to our center after she underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy during a health checkup that revealed an abnormality without any symptoms in 200X. A lesion with SMT-like rise was detected on the posterior wall of the gastric body. Based on distal gastrectomy findings, the patient was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Since the diagnosis of gastric diffuse large B cell lymphoma of the fungated type often involves its differentiation from advanced gastric cancer, we present a morphologically similar case of gastric cancer and discuss their key differentiating points.
