This study aimed to investigate the endoscopic findings of 17 lesions in 11 cases of gastric adenocarcinoma of the fundic gland type. White light images revealed the prevalence of submucosal tomor-like appearance(53%), pale color(94%), dilated dendritic vessels(65%), and no atrophy in the background mucosa(100%), which were similar to a previous report. The prevalence of unclear demarcation line(80%), expansion of the intervening part between crypt openings(100%), and dilation and tortuosity of the subepithelial capillary(slightly irregular microvessels, 73%)in magnifying narrow-band imaging were similar between our study and a previous report. The elevated type was likely seen in the upper third of the stomach, while the depressed type was in the middle third of the stomach, suggesting an association between the lesion location and the macroscopic type. Multiple lesions showed similar appearance in the same patient ; thus, paying attention to the similar finding to the main lesion would help detect multiple lesions.
