 Qualitative diagnosis of gastrointestinal SMT(submucosal tumors)is challenging. Using EUS(endoscopic ultrasonography), SMT is diagnosed by observing the layer of origin and internal echo pattern ; however, it is difficult to differentiate all. EUS-EG(EUS elastography)is used to visualize tissue hardness as a color, which can be combined with EUS to assist qualitative diagnosis. We diagnosed gastric SMTs with EUS-EG. GIST and Schwannoma tend to be hard, and it is presented as a tumor with the main body blue. We distinguished those using ordinary EUS findings. In addition, leiomyoma and ectopic pancreas are shown as soft masses, primarily red and green. Assumedly, EUS-EG will facilitate diagnosis in the future by accumulation of such cases.
