 We investigated 537 patients(684 lesions)with early gastric cancer resected using ESD from 2012 to 2014. There were 99(18.4%)and 92(17.1%)patients with synchronous and metachronous lesions, respectively. Employing the VS classification system to interpret the findings of magnifying narrow-band imaging endoscopy enabled the detection of early gastric cancer with high accuracy. In the future, regular education and training for its application will be crucial to reduce the variation in diagnostic accuracy.
