非腫瘍性虫垂疾患の病理学的特徴―虫垂炎症性疾患を中心に

The Pathology of Non-neoplastic Lesions of the Appendix

要旨　虫垂の非腫瘍性疾患・病変について概説した．本稿で取り扱った項目は，虫垂の正常解剖と組織像，虫垂重積症，虫垂粘液囊腫，急性虫垂炎（単純性，蜂窩織炎性，壊死性，穿孔性），虫垂周囲炎，虫垂周囲膿瘍，結核性虫垂炎，虫垂Crohn病，潰瘍性大腸炎の虫垂病変，肉芽腫性虫垂炎，虫垂憩室炎，放線菌症，エルシニア虫垂炎，および虫垂子宮内膜症である．虫垂腫瘍性病変の正確な診断のためには，虫垂の正常像はもちろんのこと，虫垂の非腫瘍性疾患にも精通しておくことが肝要である．

　The clinicopathological features of non-neoplastic lesions of the appendix were outlined. In this report, we describe the following : normal anatomy and histology of the appendix, intussusception of the appendix, mucocele, acute appendicitis（including simple appendicitis, phlegmonous appendicitis, necrotizing appendicitis, and perforated appendicitis）, periappendicitis/periappendicular abscess, tuberculous appendicitis, Crohn's disease of the appendix, appendiceal inflammation in ulcerative colitis, granulomatous appendicitis, diverticulitis of the appendix, actinomycosis of the appendix, infection of the appendix, and endometriosis of the appendix. Adequate knowledge concerning the clinicopathological features of these non-neoplastic lesions is important for the accurate clinical diagnosis of neoplastic lesions of the appendix.
