小電磁石による胃内異物（虫ピン）の非観血的摘出症例

A Nonsurgical Way of Extracting a Foreign Body (a Setting Pin) from the Stomach by Means of an Flectromagnet, a Case Report

　胃内に異物を呑みこんでしまうことは，成人には比較的に少なく，乳幼児期に多い．異物としては，ボタン，貨幣，ヘヤピン，釘，針，安全ピン虫ピン等が多く，特に仰臥位で手にもってしゃぶっていたり，歯をっっいていたりしている時，周囲の人に急に声をかけられ，驚いて手を放し持っていた異物を，口腔内に落して，反射的に誤飲する．我々は成人の1症例を最近経験し，これを小電磁石により摘出したので，ここに報告する．

　A setting pin, swallowed accidentally by a 27-year-old woman, was taken out of the stomach about two hours later under fluoroscopy by means of a small electromagnet made fast to a gastric tube. The device was all self-made, and it is easy to set it up; indeed it is so simple that even after seeing such a patient one does not need much time to improvize a necessary setup. Also is described a practical way of making such a simple electromagnet gadget together with some reference to the literature on the fates of foreign bodies in the stomach.

　Our simple device is safe and easy to make. It is also so practical as to be able to dispense with often uncalled-for surgical intervention or with unnecessarily frequent observations with x-ray exposures. We are sure it is to be recommended to all doctors concerned.
