 The diagnosis of gastric cancer depth is clinically important as it is directly related to the decision of treatment strategy. Several studies conducted in East Asia, including Japan, have used artificial intelligence(AI)for the diagnosis of endoscopic depth, reporting an accuracy of 80%. For advanced gastric cancer, AI is expected to not only determine endoscopic depth but also predict treatment efficacy and prognosis based on computed tomography images. However, social implementation of endoscopic AI is a challenge that needs to be addressed in the future.
