神経節膠腫（ganglioglioma）は頭蓋内腫瘍全体の0.3～1.4％を占める腫瘍^1）であり，側頭葉，次いで前頭葉に生じ，てんかんで発症することが多い^2）。今回我々は，鞍上部から第三脳室に発生した神経節膠腫を経験したので，文献的考察とともに報告する。

A 42–year–old man presented with headaches of 3 months’ duration. CT scan showed a low–density mass extending from the suprasellar region to the third ventricle. It was markedly hyperintense on T2–weighted images and heterogeneously enhancing on contrast–enhanced T1–weighted images. Partial resection was performed and the diagnosis was ganglioglioma. Ganglioglioma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of tumors resembling pilocytic astrocytoma arising from the suprasellar and third ventricle.
