高齢者に発症した星芽腫の1例

An elderly case of astroblastoma

星芽腫（astroblastoma）は1926年にBaileyとCushingらによって初めて記述された腫瘍である^1）。まれな腫瘍であるため十分な臨床病理学的データがなく，2016年のWHO脳腫瘍分類では“other gliomas”に分類されている。今回我々は89歳と非常に高齢で発症した星芽腫の1例を経験したので，文献的考察とともに報告する。

An 89-year-old female presented with mild cognitive decline for one year. Head CT and MRI revealed a supratentorial mass in the right temporal and frontal lobes. The mass showed relatively well-demarcated and partially enhancing areas with mixed solid and cystic components. Following an open brain biopsy, the tumor was diagnosed as astroblastoma. To the best of our knowledge, this is the oldest case of astroblastoma at present.
