無気肺を起こした場合のみ石灰化に近い高吸収域として捉えることができたびまん性肺骨形成の症例を経験した。無気肺を起こしたときのみ無気肺内部に高吸収域を呈する症例は日常臨床においてしばしば経験するが，それについて検討された報告はほとんどないので文献的考察を含めて報告する。

A case of diffuse pulmonary ossification in which high attenuation areas were present only in areas of atelectasis on mediastinal windows is described. High attenuation areas increased and decreased in proportion to worsening and improvement of atelectasis. Only mild reticulations and small nodules were seen in the lungs in areas without atelectasis. At autopsy, bone tissue was present throughout the lung, not just in areas of atelectasis. We assumed that the reduced air volume in areas of atelectasis facilitates the visualization of the bone tissue.
