はじめに

　看護診断分類は25年の流れを経て現在の定義と分類に整理されてきた。しかし，この分類と定義は誰にでも分かりやすいものとは言いがたい。専門職に分かりやすい分類定義とはどのようなものかを探る目的と，今後望まれるであろう患者にとっても分かりやすい定義と分類とは何かを探るためにさまざまな試みをしたので報告する。

　The current taxonomy of nursing diagnoses definitions and classification represents the culmination of more than 25 years of continuous research. However, for many people, the present set of definitions and classification remains obscure and difficult to understand. This paper describes several experiments designed to determine howthe current taxonomy should be modified to make it more easily used and understood by nursing professionals, and how the system of definitions and classification can be made more accessible and understandable to patients in the future.
