I．はじめに
音は聞えるが，話の内容が了解できないという疾患がある。これは，今まで聞きなれてきた母国語があたかも初めて聞く外国語のように感じられるもので，「純粋語ろう」と呼ばれてきた。ドイツ語ではreine Worttaubheit，英語でpure word deafnessという名称が用いられている。「純粋」というのは，内言語の障害がなく単に語音の了解が不可能であるという意味で用いられている。聴覚失認（auditory agnosia）という名称があるが，これは広義にはあらゆる音の弁別，認知が不可能な状態をさすものであり，「語ろう」もこの一種である。
最近，私どもは脳梁膨大部の一部切断によつて聴覚失認になつた症例を経験したので，ここに報告しご批判をあおぐ次第である。
A case of auditory agnosia is described.
The patient a boy, aged 13, had brain surgery for removal of pinealoma. In the procedure the splenium of corpus callosum was incised. After the operation the patient suffered from auditory agnosia with word deafness and the loss of musical sense. The inner language was intact and the ability to read and write was unimpaired. With pure tone audiometry slight loss of hearing at low frequency, was revealed; with speech audiometry the verbal perception was poor in both ears, especially the left. Musical test showed the melody perception to be poorer in the right ear.
The patient made a recovery back to normal hearing in 2 months after the operation.
