I．はじめに
原発性甲状腺機能低下症の1小児例にCT上，下垂体腫瘤形成を認め，甲状腺ホルモン補充療法開始後5カ月で，このCT上の腫瘤は消失した．われわれは本症例は原発性甲状腺機能低下症に基づく下垂体過形成と考え，文献上同様の報告を検討し，その発生メカニズム，診断および治療方針について考察する．
A thirteen-year-old girl was admitted complaining of short stature and anemia. The low titers of her serum T, and T4 and the abnormally high TSH level repre-sented primary hypothyroidism. Although she had nor-mal sellar size, CT demonstrated an intra- and suprasel-lar round mass with homogeneous enhancement. With thyroid replacement therapy the enhanced mass dimi-nished on CT within 5 months, and her symptoms re-gressed.
Twelve cases with radiological diminution of pitui-tary mass or visual field improvement after thyroid re-placement therapy are reviewed.
