　ネコの視床の後腹側核（Ncl．ventralis posterior，以下VPと略記）およびPO核群（posterior group）から大脳皮質第I，第II体性感覚野（SI，SII）への投射を，HRP（horseradish peroxidase）を用いて調べた。

Abstract

Thalamo-cortical projections from the posterior ventral thalamic nucleus (VP) and the posterior thalamic nuclear group (PO) to the somatic sensory cortices (SI and SII) in cats were studied by the HRP method. In 3 cats, unilateral injection into almost all areas of the SI and SIIproduced almost no HRP-labelled cells in the contralateral VP and PO. Therefore, 19 cats were bilaterally injected in different cortical regions. Perfusion of animals and HRP staining of brain sections were performed according to Mesulam.
