　膠原病は全身性エリテマトーデス（以下SLE），慢性関節リウマチ，多発性筋炎または皮膚筋炎，強皮症，リウマチ熱，多発性結節性動脈炎（以下PN）の6疾患があるが，精神神経症状を認めるのはSLEおよびPNが主体である^1）（表1）。その他の膠原病では稀に中枢，末梢神経症状を認めるのみとされ，むしろ精神症状，中枢神経症状が出現した場合にはSLEとのオーバーラップと診断されることが多い。またわれわれがPNに遭遇する機会はきわめて少ないため本症ではSLEにおける精神，中枢神経症状について述べる。また免疫学的機序については現在ほとんど明確にされておらず推測の域を出ないので，現象面に重点をおいて記した。

Abstract

Among a host of connective tissue diseases central nervous system (CNS) diseases occur most frequently in patients with systemic lupus erythe-matosus (SLE). These include several types of mental disorders, neurological manifestations in-cluding seizures, tremor, hemi-or monoplegia, and peripheral neuritis. Although their real cause still remain to be clarified, autoimmune mecha-nisms, particularly the participation of immune complex composed of various types of autoanti-bodies and autoantigens, might play important roles to induce the CNS disease in SLE patients.
