現段階では，脳科学と精神病理学との接点は多くない。本稿では，精神病理学の中で，実験心理学的基盤をもつ認知病理学の知見を引用した上で，これに関連して筆者らがうつ病の病態解明に向けて行っているfunctional Magnetic Resonance Imaging（fMRI）を用いた研究結果を紹介したい。うつ病を感情に関連した認知の障害モデルとしてとらえ，うつ病の病態をみていくことで感情に関連した脳内認知情報処理の一端を明らかにすることができると考えられる。今後，脳科学と精神病理学が互いに影響し合い，ともに発展していくことを期待する。

At the present, there are the large discrepancy between psychopathology and neurosciences. In this article, the findings are taken from cognitive psychopathology based on experimental psychology. And then, we describe our neuroscientific results from functional magnetic resonance imaging studies for elucidation of pathophysiology in depression. It give a useful suggestion for understanding brain to clear the pathophysiology in depression regard as a model of disability of emotion and cognition. We believe psychopathology and neurosciences will continue its growth under the mutual understanding.
