Abstract 文献概要

　ロイコマイシン（以下LMと略す）は北里研究所の泰藤樹博士が放線状菌Streptomyces Kita-satoensis-Hataの培養液より抽出した新抗生物質であつて，種々の眼瞼及び結膜疾患に有効な事が報告されているが，本剤がTrachomaにも有効な事は，山下氏等の報告以来，寒河江等，伊佐敷氏等，鈴木氏等，徳田氏等，隆氏，鈴木氏等，及び田地野氏等の諸氏の発表があるが，我々も本剤の軟膏を用いて中小学校生徒に対し集団治療を行い，認むべき効果を收めたので茲に報告する。

The 326 sudents of trachoma in the primary and middle school were treated for 6 weeks with 1% Leucomycin ointment (toe new antibiotic solated from toe culture fluid of Streptom-yces Kitasatoensis-Hata) and the following results were obtained after 6 weeks treatment.

The cure rate was 37.1% and the effective rate 88.6%. (In the classification of Mc Callen, the Tr-d was most curable and Trl was 31.4% and Tr Ⅱ 37%, Tr Ⅲ33%). On their progress, the blephalitis and conjunctivitis which seem to be allergy were recognized in few cases but all of them were cured in 2-4 days by Cortison.
