　体外から金属片が刺入し，その一部が大腿静脈内に迷入した症例を経験したので報告する．症例は29歳の男性で，電気修理作業中に部品が爆発し，左大腿部に痛みを感じた．救急部受診時，左大腿部に約1cmのそうがあったが出血はなかった．X線やCTで異物が左大腿深部に存在することがわかり，手術室で除去を試みた．術中にX線透視で位置を確認していたところ，異物が移動したため，直ちに血管造影室に移動し異物が血管内にあることを確認した．血管内治療interventional radiology(IVR)により低侵襲に摘出可能であった．

　We report a case in which part of a metal fragment entered the femoral vein during an industrial accident.　The patient was a 29-year-old man who experienced pain in his left thigh after part of a device exploded while he was engaged in performing an electrical repair.　Examination in the emergency department revealed an approximately 1-cm wound in his left thigh, but there was no evidence of active bleeding.　Since X-ray and CT examinations showed the presence of a foreign body deep in his left thigh, we attempted to remove the foreign body in the operating room.　The foreign body moved while we were attempting to identify its location by X-ray fluoroscopy.　Angiography was performed immediately, and the foreign body was observed to be located within the femoral vein.　Interventional radiology allowed minimally invasive removal of the foreign body.
