要旨　好酸球性消化管疾患は好酸球性食道炎と好酸球性胃腸炎に分類されている．これらの疾患は臨床像と病理組織学的所見を組み合わせて診断を確定するべき疾患であり，それぞれの診断基準が作られている．好酸球性食道炎に対しては，2007年に米国でConsensus Recommendationが出版され，2011年には改訂版も出版されている．好酸球性胃腸炎に対しては，1990年にやはり米国でTalleyらが臨床研究に用いた基準が長く診断の基準として用いられてきた．厚生労働科学研究費補助金（難治性疾患克服研究事業）では，2010年にこれらの2疾患に対する診断指針案を作成し，2012年には一部の改訂作業を行っている．今後は症例の集積を行い，指針の改訂が引き続き必要と考えられる．

　EGID（eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders）are divided into EoE（eosinophilic esophagitis）and EGE（eosinophilic gastroenteritis）. The diagnosis of these diseases can be made based on clinicopathological analysis of the patients. For these purposes, consensus diagnosis recommendations have been reported. Consensus recommendation for the diagnosis and treatment of EoE was firstly published in 2007 and its revised version was published in 2011. For the diagnosis of EGE, the criteria reported by Talley NJ in 1990 have long been used worldwide. We developed consensus recommendations for the diagnosis of EoE and EGE in 2010 with the support of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Japan and we revised the recommendation of EGE in 2012. These recommendations need to be continuously updated and revised through the collection of clinical and basic knowledge on EGID.
