　二重造影法による胃粘膜像ではFalteの変化や明瞭な陥凹または限局した隆起については相当正確に診断を下すことができるが，平坦型胃癌の微細な粘膜の変化をとらえるにはなお不充分な点が感じられる．

　われわれは従来より，切除胃拡大撮影によって粘膜像の検討を続けてきたが，術前の精密X線検査や内視鏡検査でとらえることのできなかった癌の拡がりを拡大撮影ではかなり正確に描出することができた症例を経験したので報告する．

　Possible merits of magnified roentgenogram are described in this paper, illustrating a case of ordinary Ⅱc type early gastric cancer in which the extent of flat type of early cancer around it was hardly recognized by x-ray, endoscopy or even by resected specimen other than by magnified roentgenograms of the resected stomach. The extent of cancer was virtually determined by this examination.

　Diagnosis of flat type early gastric cancer is eagerly expected to be made sure by the progress of detailed depiction of malignant area in double contrast study along with more efficient analysis of the pictures obtained.
